How many spin-offs of the Michael Crichton classic are there? Five, including the installment this past weekend? I finished watching "Jurassic World," just before writing this. To get straight to the point, it struck me as analogous to communism/socialism, and not because of its stab at capitalism, in general, and the entertainment industry specifically. Here's why.
Most are probably familiar with the basic story, so please indulge me as I repeat what has been repeatedly repeated for over 20 years. Whether a tyrannosaurus, or andominus, rex, the story always revolves around a giant, savage beast; ready to consume all in its path, either for food, or to dominate. There are smaller, but equally vicious, animals. Not large, or strong, enough to compete with the alpha, but the cunning stuff of children's nightmares.
The park / abandoned island / revised, and "improved," theme park is either hoped to be an innovative attraction, or adventurous hunt. Like going for rhinoceros on an African savanna, or confusing one's personal obsession with a benefit for mankind. Now that I've recapped what everyone already knows, here's how it is analogous to communism/socialism.
The same things, with only slight modification, are tried over and over again with no real lessons learned. Each successive "visionary" arrogantly thinks things will go much better with him in charge. The tyrannosaur, or andominus, rex is large government, which the oxy-moronic, idiotic geniuses deny, over and over, will wreak ruin on all in its domain. To the latest park executive's credit, he at least doesn't deny that it has been tried before, unlike many academics that claim that communism has never been tested........for some strange reason. Can we all spell F - O - O - L?
Like Jurassic Park / World, every time communism / socialism is tried, there is the inevitable blood bath, and smoking ruin left to crumble into the ash-heap of history. People writhing, and painfully crawling, in a desperate attempt to survive the disaster. Rotting bodies littering the landscape, if they weren't eaten in a single bite.
Like the park, it's stupid to think that the leviathan state can be used to benefit humanity. It has been attempted many times, and the result is always the same. What's a famous definition of insanity that mentions repeated identical effort, while expecting a different result?
The American founders learned the lesson, and without velociraptor-like IRS, and EPA, agents to hunt down, and consume, lives one at a time. When will we learn from them?

Cecile Richards Of Planned Parenthood: A Modern Jezebel?
I'm against abortion. There's no way around the simple fact that each instance is the murder of a helpless baby, who wasn't conceived by his own choice. Science, and logic, scream that a developing human being is there from the moment of conception. To deny it is clearly a delusional act.
Cecile Richards, of Planned Parenthood, is stepping down after 11 years in charge. The butcher shop averages the demise of 300,000 children each year; making Richards responsible for roughly 3.3 million innocent deaths. Very much reminiscent of the Bible character Jezebel, a political witch, that the prophet Elijah said would be eaten by dogs.
At the end of her bloody reign, during which babies were sacrificed to Baal. A god placated by children tossed into the red hot arms of his bronze idol, while he was celebrated with public orgy. The ninth chapter of 2 Kings says the general Jehu rebelled against her family. After winning the revolution with a single decisive battle, he demanded that Jezebel be tossed out her window, which was on an upper floor.
Her servants did. She was then trampled by the horses pulling Jehu's chariot, and eaten by dogs in the street, as Elijah said would happen. The story even paints graphically using pictures common in modern screenplays by describing her blood spattering on a wall as she hits the ground and is pounded under hoof. After her death, but before the dogs, a Bruce Willis-like Jehu said he was hungry, walked into the late Jezebel's house, and had a meal. Only her skull, feet, and hands were left when Jehu told her former employees to bury her. Yuck. There wasn't enough left to display at the funeral, so they didn't bother with one.
I wonder if the justice given Richards by God, if she doesn't escape, will be as poetic. Like the murderous Judean king Manasseh did, she may still repent and find God's grace.
God help us. Child sacrifice was widely practiced in Israel, in 800-600 BC. When one reads the prophets of the time: Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, among others, God lays out very serious charges, and consequences; telling them well before a line of empires, from Assyria - Rome, that they would be killed, enslaved, abused, and brought to nothing for the atrocity they committed, He mocked their sex gods, and mocked those that worshiped them, warning them to stop, while pointing out the futile arrogance of their "celebrities". They didn't stop, and Israel's society collapsed. They were invaded, killed in mass, dispersed globally until this last century.
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
And prudent in their own sight!
22 Woe to men mighty at drinking wine,
Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink,
23 Who justify the wicked for a bribe,
And take away justice from the righteous man!
24 Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble,
And the flame consumes the chaff,

Before I'm labeled an anti-Semite, let me say that I know I deserve God's judgement, so am in no place to point a hypocritical, self-righteous, finger of blame at the ancient past. This is just the history for us to learn from. I'm very much for modern Israel, and have nothing against Jews. But the entire world is following in Israel's barbaric, fossilized footsteps. The Canaanites, that Joshua was instructed to wipe out, did the same thing, and now so do we with abortion. There is no high horse to be seated on. We know the history, and foolishly repeat it.
Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and others wrote of how God would restore Israel, despite the atrocity perpetrated, and the global diaspora. They are a nation again, despite impossible odds. The center of world attention, as prophesied by Ezekiel, Zechariah and John. This state of affairs is also prophesied to be a sign of the end.
I have little hope that our entire civilization will turn around in time, but I do have boundless hope for individuals. We're at the tail-end of a well known cycle. Our academics deny that we are, and that there is even a cycle. Not only is it true, the mistakes we fail to learn from and the consequences we now face are described in prophesy with some detail.
The only hope for humanity is Jesus-Christ. Unlike the first, humble, gentle coming in a stable, His second-coming will be a bloody, and deserved, judgement for what we see now, and the nasty atrocity predicted to come, then a peaceful reign. I hate socialism, but will risk using the SJW verbiage, though they have things completely backwards. Now is the time to choose the right side of history, though you may be persecuted, and killed, for it.
Here's a closing thought that refers to wicked rulers seeking to break the bonds of God's anointed. It's interesting because that is what Judeo-Christian morality has been cast as by many academics, entertainers, legislators, and dictators, since the enlightenment. It is imagery feminism uses to paint marriage with......chains, bonds. The picture of the chains of sexual morality restraining one from the illicit behavior leading to rampant STD's in California. Judeo-Christian morality is daily a target of popular culture.
